Raven Skull Pendant – Vegvísir

This pendant embodies the mysterious energy of the raven skull, a symbol deeply rooted in Norse, Celtic, and shamanic traditions. The raven has long been seen as a messenger between worlds, a guide connected to intuition, intelligence, and the unseen realms.

The skull itself speaks of transformation, a reminder of life’s impermanence and the wisdom found beyond what is visible. It carries a quiet, powerful presence, both raw and refined.

Engraved on the forehead is the Vegvísir, the ancient Icelandic magical stave known as the Norse Compass. According to legend, it guides the bearer through rough weather and uncertain paths, both physical and spiritual, ensuring one never loses their way.

Each pendant is hand-carved slowly, with patience and precision, using only traditional carving knives. Every stroke is guided by instinct, making each piece truly unique.

This piece is carved from two variations of ebony wood:

Black Ebony – Deep, dark, and uniform in tone, it gives the pendant a strong, minimal, almost timeless presence.

Macassar Ebony – Characterized by subtle brown streaks within the dark grain. After oil finishing, these variations can become less visible in photos, but they remain part of the wood’s natural identity. In certain light and angles, the warmer tones can still emerge.

Both woods share the same density, strength, and refined texture, offering a solid and long-lasting piece with a rich visual depth.
